PARTAY!

So my husband and I decided to host our first ever event in early February. A wine tasting afternoon for few people at our flat (apartment). Seeing as we want to keep it fun and SO informal, I thought to move away from stiff and go with a festive theme, like white and dots! Dots galore! Now, I’m planning to make all the décor from scratch and things I have already, like dotted wrapping paper, coloured paper and dotted fabric. I’m just a bit scared of accidentally creating a CIRCUS theme!!! Lol. So keeping that in mind, and that the ‘menu’ consists of wine, cheese and fruit, I need some ideas, some creative inspiration! Here’s hoping I get some before Feb. I’ll do a follow up post, either before the event to say how it’s going, or after to report whether it was a success or not. Hi All The silly season is here, and festive moods bring lots of cheer! Yes, I AM in the Christmas spirit! It's my first Christmas with my husband, and my Mariah Carey Christmas wish: 'All I want for Christmas is you' came true!! Yay! Now i must think of something else for Christmas ;) lol. I've been VERY crafty and having a ball making craft decorations, trying out new techniques and crafts, I didnt even get much chance to update y'all. Well, today I tried a very plain yet tricky ball i found on this site (tutorial is there too) http://www.homemade-gifts-made-easy.com/christmas-ornaments-to-make.html I had so much fun, I hope I inspired you to go ahead and give it a try too. I must say, as fun as it was, I'm not making another one today. My next one, if I DO decide to make another one, will be with broader strips of paper... Hi there! Nearly a year later I'm back to update you on my craft-life. I think i found my niche. I think. (This is how I feel everytime i discover a new craft! hehehe) So after nearly depressing myself by checking out all the AWESOME art people get up to on deviantart.com, I'm moved on to Pinterest, and find it WAY more inspiring and less overwhelming. I just find myself, though, not getting to do/make all the little things I see! So far I have made a notebook, though, inspired by Francine (Callaloo Soup: http://francineclouden.typepad.com/ ) I'm just taking my crafts one day and a time and get so happily inspired, it's BLISS.
